In addition to being a co-founder of RDP, Michael has over twenty-five years of diversified experience with major and large independent producers and as a Geoscience consultant. He began his career with Gulf Oil, holding various Geoscience positions that includes experience in exploration, development, technical training and operations. Prior to his consulting practice, Michael spent fourteen years working for Sonat Exploration where he served in various E&D management and executive positions. His results driven performance in a variety of leadership roles has generated a proven track record of significantly increasing productivity, profitability and company growth.

He has lead successful exploration/exploitation programs, numerous acquisition evaluation efforts, and other multidisciplinary initiatives involving resource management, systems optimization, and field studies. He has worked in multiple geologic provinces including the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast, South and East Texas, North Louisiana, Offshore Gulf of Mexico, Arkoma Basin, Anadarko Basin, South Arkansas, and others.

Michael has substantial experience meeting challenges associated with business expansion and turnarounds, as well as a recognized ability to develop, implement, and direct strategic plans that require big picture vision and an eye for detail. His attention to detail, organization and documentation skills, and his project management experience coupled with his technical background adds considerably to the team's diversification and strength.

Areas of expertise include; project and information management, property assessment, exploitation studies, acquisition/divestiture analysis, subsurface exploitation mapping, computer applications, strategic reconnaissance, and information resources on the Internet.

Michael has a Bachelors degree in Earth Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Master of Science in Geology from the University of South Florida, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston. He is member of various societies including American Association of Petroleum Geologist (25 year member), Geological Society of America, Houston Geological Society, Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists, and the Society for Competitive Intelligence Professionals. Michael is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and Texas Licensed Geologist. He is also President of Source Rocks, LLC and the creator of the website "Geoscience Gateways".
