Carl Johnson has over thirty
years of broad oil and gas industry experience in all aspects of
engineering and operations. His experience base includes the Mid
Continent, Rockies, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Gulf Coast, and the
Gulf of Mexico.

He has held a variety of
engineering and management positions with major and independent
producers as well as having a successful engineering consulting
practice. Prior to RDP, Carl worked at Sonat Exploration Co. for over
fifteen years. He has also worked for UNOCAL and Ashland Exploration as
well as a number of smaller independents. Carl is the co-founder and
managing partner of Viking Engineering, LC.

His participation and
leadership has lead many multidisciplinary teams to successfully
reducing costs and increasing profitability. His many years of
practical field experience and supervision give him a unique perspective
for addressing exploitation opportunities. In addition to his own
skills and knowledge, Carl brings a wealth of engineering resources to
the RDP team via Viking Engineering and his own extensive industry
contacts.

operational transactions; drilling and completion engineering; asset
development and enhancement; well management systems; HTHP drilling
environments; re-engineering of procurement processes; tubular design;
project economics; cost reduction of operations and maintenance
expenses; field operations and supervision; reservoir analyses for
acquisition, divestment, reserve reports, and field studies; oil and gas
property appraisal for project financing, offshore lease sales, and
producing property acquisition and sale.

Carl received his degree in
Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College, and is a 25-year member of
The Society of Petroleum Engineers.
