"These
properties have never been so well organized and documented. We can now
easily access the critical information whenever we want and make better
decisions."
If you have any other questions, or would like us to elaborate
upon any topics discussed below, please don't hesitate to contact us.
- "Can RDP come in and take over a project that is already
underway?"
You bet we can. We can add to your team’s resources or take over
the project completely to get it done.
- "Is RDP able to help with project funding?"
RDP has investors and clients that are looking for quality
opportunities. If there is a good match we can help to structure a
deal that will benefit everybody.
- "What if I just need help gathering information and getting
organized, can RDP help?"
Sure, we can help. Organization and documentation is something we
do very well.
- "I’ve got a great prospect but I need help pulling it all
together, can RDP help me package and market my idea(s)?"
Absolutely. We can put our resources to work for you to get your
projects ready for industry and we’ll make use or our networking to
target the right audience.
- "We need some input to help determine our company’s E&P
strategy, is this something RDP can provide?"
We have extensive management experience too. You need to consider
our New Venture and Strategic Reconnaissance capabilities as a cost
effective means to finding the opportunities that are right for you.
- "I don't need a whole team. Can I get
just one or two consultants for a job?"
Yes, whether you need one engineer, one geoscientist, or an entire
acquisition team, we can supply the technical and clerical manpower
tailored to your specific requirements.

- "How much is this job going to
cost?"
Costs will vary depending on the nature of the project. We suggest
that you submit your basic project requirements to us using our website
"Project Request" form or by
contacting us directly by phone (713/465-6658) or
email. We will provide you with a reasonable idea of costs prior to
generating a formal proposal.
- "How is RDP compensated?"
RDP typically bills by the hour and at very competitive rates, plus
customary and reasonable expenses. Payment schedules are determined on a
project basis. Other RDP compensation, tied to the success of certain
projects may also be appropriate and is subject to negotiation.
- "I have a project that RDP may
be able to help me with, what's next?"
Contact us. You can use our "Project Request" form, send us an
email, or give us a call. Once we find out what your needs are, we can
determine your requirements. And, if we don't think we're the
appropriate service for you, we should be able to point you in the right
direction.
- "I have these old
properties and I'm not sure what kind of help I need, how do we
approach this?"
We recommend a meeting to discuss your situation. In some cases, we
may be able to offer to do a brief "recon" so we can better assess the
situation, at no expense to you. This will allow us to determine if our
help would be cost effective. Give us a day or so to do our research and
make some suggestions. You can then decide on the next step. You have
nothing to lose.

- "Will RDP use our data or
their own?"
RDP will first exhaust whatever data sources are available from the
client. We will then supplement this from our own information/data
resources. If additional data is required it will be purchased with the
client's approval and at the client's expense. Estimates of these
requirements will be addressed with the client prior to the initiation
of the project.
- "I'm a consultant and would like to
become part of your network. What do I need to do to join the RDP team?"
Welcome! Our team of experienced consultants and company affiliates
is growing and there is always room for one more. You can fill out the
"Join the Team" form on our web site or contact us via email or phone.
Let's talk about the possibilities. Networking is the key.
- "How can I get some more
information about RDP?"
Contact us anytime. We can tell you more about the company and us.
There is only so much you can put on a website.
- "What is Strategic
Reconnaissance?"
This is one of our strong points. In simple terms, it is our way of
making the most of information available in the public domain to benefit
our clients. We incorporate our own information resource with the public
data and use custom applications to identify potential opportunities for
the client. There is a broad spectrum of applications that may be
appropriate for your objectives. Lets talk.

- "Can RDP help us find
properties and other opportunities?"
Yes, give us your criteria and we will go to work to locate
opportunities that will fit your goals. We accomplish this using our
traditional networking abilities and through "Strategic Reconnaissance"
methods making the best use of the public data.
- "What if special expertise
is required?"
That's one of the benefits of our "Extended Team" and network. Let
us locate the special skills for you. Odds are that we know someone that
can fit the bill.
- "What kind of documentation
do I get when the project is done?"
RDP typically documents project results in both hard copy and
digital formats, depending on the client's wishes. We take great pride
in our documentation abilities. Our technical reports are designed to be
added to, long after we are finished, in a way that will continue to
yield benefits to your staff. We can even work with your IT personnel to
get things on line in your company's system.
- "How will RDP interact with
our staff?"
We can work with your staff as part of a team or independently on
our own. We treat all projects as strictly confidential and will always
secure permission before interacting with your staff.
top
- "I just need some help
packaging up some properties for sale. Does RDP help with
divestitures?"
RDP can organize your data and information, help you package it and
coordinate the data room, thereby reducing stress on your staff. We can
also use our network to help you locate an appropriate buyer.
- "What about hardware and
software capabilities?"
RDP has access to all the hardware that is typically required for
routine Geoscience and Engineering evaluations. We have the mobility and
hardware capabilities to perform as a stand-alone team at almost any
specified location or we can make use of the client's in house equipment
in conjunction with our own. Software requirements are very project
specific. If you require software that RDP does not have access to, we
will need to negotiate licensing fees. In most cases these additional
fees will be at the expense of the client.
- "Where will the work be
done, your office or ours?"
We are a very mobile team and can work almost anywhere as long as
there is reasonable space to set up our laptops, have online access, and
have the necessary room to examine the data. We do prefer to work as
close as possible to in-house information sources. In most cases the
majority of work is performed in the client's offices, but we frequently
are required to visit field offices. A certain amount of work will be
necessarily performed at RDP facilities.
- "Can RDP help with drilling
and production operations, or even well design?"
Yes, RDP has a lot of expertise and access to resources in this area,
including HTHP well design, failure analysis, and procurement.
top
- "How much notice is required to
have RDP start a job?"
This is very dependent on project loads at the time we are notified.
In most cases, and depending on the size of the job and the skills
required, we can generally have an initial meeting within a week and be
underway in one to two weeks after that.
- "Can RDP Manage my properties for
me?"
Yes, we have the full range of capabilities to oversee and manage
most oil and gas properties within our operational base.
- "How do I know if RDP can help
with my situation?"
Use our convenient online "Project Request" form on our site, or
feel free to contact us by email or
phone. We would be happy to discuss your situation.
- "What economics program does
RDP use in their evaluations?"
We routinely use Power Tools for our economic evaluations,
but we are able to accommodate other client needs in most cases.
top
- "How much acquisition
evaluation experience does RDP have?"
This is one of our strengths. We have substantial team experience in
identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities on both the
geological and engineering sides. This experience includes the
integration of resources and assets following the acquisition.
- "If RDP recommends an
exploitation strategy for my properties, can they oversee the
implementation and operations?"
For most projects, RDP will work up a recommended "Action Plan" for
further development of the property. RDP can oversee the implementation
of these actions to whatever degree the client would like. RDP has an
excellent network of service company contacts to call upon.
- "What is RDP's geographic
base?"
Our experience and backgrounds cover a wide geographic base. However
we are most familiar with the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, East Texas,
Louisiana, and Arkansas. Through our extended team of consultants and
company affiliates our geographic base reaches many other parts of the
U.S. and into International ventures.
- "Can we see some examples
of RDP's work products from other jobs?"
We have secured permission from selected clients to show some of our
work products. We would be happy to review these examples with you.
